Roger Müller
Was born in the canton of Bern in 1979, where he began to play the tenor horn at the age of 10. After completing his work-experience in electronics, he studied in Bern at the Musikhochschule. There he graduated with a diploma in tenor Horn (Thomas Rüedi) , Wind conducting (type A) and Arranging (Hans Peter Blaser).
After completing his studies, Roger started playing the french horn.
He has performed on the tenor horn and french horn in various championship section brass bands and wind orchestras in Switzerland, as well as chamber ensembles.
At present he is active as horn player, music teacher, conductor, jury member and arranger. (A selection of his music is available at www.althorn.ch/music)
Roger currently conducts several brass bands and wind orchestras in Switzerland, and arranges and composes for various wind formations.
Since 2010 he works for the Dunshan Symphonic Wind Orchestra in Beijing, China.
He has attended master classes with Andreas Spörri, Jan Cober und Eugene M. Corporon. He has been studying musicology at Bern University since 2007.
